Scandinavia's Largest Media Monitor Streamlines Workflow and Operations with Idioma's AdScanner

Veteran media monitor TVCheck renews AdScanner license after three years of creating new revenue streams and reducing overhead by 40-50 percent

Vasteras, Herzeliya, December 10, 2004 -- Idioma Ltd., the established leader in end-to-end audio and video workflow solutions, today announced that TVCheck - the largest media monitoring company in Scandinavia - has renewed its license for the TV AdScanner platform, which it has successfully used to monitor advertisements broadcast on the major Swedish, Norwegian, and Finnish television stations since 2002.

For over a decade, TVCheck's "Checker" solution has been delivering in-depth and up-to-the-minute facts about programming and commercials to major advertisers across Scandinavia. The company has earned a reputation for strict accuracy and attention to the minute details of broadcast quality and timing, and also boasts the largest commercial archive in Scandinavia.

"Prior to adopting AdScanner in 2002, our analog and manual video workflow demanded a very large workforce," said Lars Gustavson, Managing Director of TVCheck. "Idioma implemented an end-to-end solution based on the AdScanner platform, and helped us make a smooth transition to digital video recording and archiving, a fully networked workflow, and computer-based analysis and documentation of broadcast quality," he continued. "Using AdScanner over the past three years has brought about a positive change in our business model, a reduction of 50% in our work force, and a clear improvement in our bottom line," he concluded.

TVCheck uses AdScanner to first digitize and record live broadcast feeds. Then, through the extraction of advanced audio and video fingerprints, AdScanner identifies and catalogs broadcast advertisements. AdScanner automatically generates alerts of deviations from preset broadcast quality parameters - allowing TVCheck to report problems in near real-time, and allowing clients to take immediate appropriate action.

AdScanner's workflow management capabilities facilitate the easy dissemination of the broadcast commercials among company workstations - where analysts review, characterize via custom interface, tag, measure quality, and compare planned broadcast schedule with actual broadcast schedule.

"We were pleased that TVCheck chose to continue its very fruitful relationship with Idioma. That AdScanner can deliver such positive results over time to such a prestigious and veteran player is indicative of the platform's power and flexibility," noted Ziv Gottesfeld, CEO of Idioma Solutions. "We look forward to many more years of helping TVCheck deliver more advanced services with a shorter time-to-market, more competitive pricing, and more accurate reporting to clients," he concluded.
